Alyssa Davis received her MFA in Printmaking at Indiana University in 2024. and her BFA in Printmaking and Book Arts from the University of Georgia in 2019. Her work uses anthropomorphic forms as metaphor for complex and reciprocal interaction between the body and emotion. The tendency to try to relate to the ambiguous conjures unplaceable gut reactions and feelings. She juxtaposes the familiar and unfamiliar to exploit this phenomenon, capitalizing upon a sense of humor, absurdity, and discomfort.
